Handmade Art inspired by Halloween, History and a little Hocus Pocus

Meet the Artist

Stephanie Corrigan is a Massachusetts native artist and witch, currently living in the Halloween Capital of the world, Salem Ma! She has been creating art for as long as she can remember, namely crocheting and painting. Specializing in Amigurumi, (the Japanese craft of crocheting small stuffed toys, such as animals, play food, or dolls), black-and-white sketch work, acrylic painting, watercolors and jewelry making, she draws inspiration from Halloween, historic events, like the witch trials of 1692 and pirate history, death, dying and decay and so much more! Her lifelong love of history (mostly women’s history, like the feminist she is) and the macabre continue to inspire her art and life and will forevermore.

In addition to creating all the content for HallowedFolk, Stephanie can be found around Salem, educating the public on the real history of 1692, working for various non-profits, listening to true crime podcasts, Hozier and Noah Kahan while writing and researching for various thesis papers and history journals. She is going back to grad school in Fall 2024 to complete her MLIS specializing in Archival Management. She is also in the process of writing a book on the theories surrounding the causes of the Salem Witchcraft Crisis of 1692.
